Sparsholt College Bursaries 2016

To promote organic gardening to students studying horticulture at  Sparsholt College, HOGG awarded three bursaries to level 3 students based on the organic gardening unit studied in the final two terms of their course delivered by the tutor Chris Bird.  Students were asked by a primary school in Salisbury produce a plan incorporating some existing planting and playground equipment with a new planting design that would encourage pupils to take part in growing their own vegetables and flowers organically.  The winner of this award was Dan Reynolds whilst other winners were Jenny Hankin for her work on Organic Crop Production and Amber Harding on Pest, Disease and Weed Management in Organic Systems.
